Description

Since its introduction in 2015, the Tensaw Jacket has proven itself time and again in the field around the world. We are excited to celebrate both the tenth anniversary of our first product – the Tensaw Jacket – and the tenth anniversary of Tom Beckbe.

We are pleased to offer a limited edition run of 100 Tenth Anniversary Tensaw Jackets, individually numbered and expertly Made in the U.S.A., just as every Tensaw Jacket before them has been and every one that follows will be.

Each Tenth Anniversary Tensaw Jacket is made with weatherproof 8oz waxed cotton shelter cloth from the legendary Halley Stevensons mill in Dundee, Scotland. We selected our iconic “tobacco” color for these jackets and applied a traditional glossy wax finish that is unique for our range of waxed outerwear. This finish closely matches the appearance of the first production run of Tensaw Jackets. Those original “Lot X” jackets had a midweight cotton twill lining dyed with Alabama clay to create a vibrant, earthy interior color that has become the distinctive hallmark of our waxed cotton jackets and vests. We selected a midweight twill lining for the Tenth Anniversary Tensaw Jackets – slightly heavier than current Tensaws – to closely match both the weight and the vibrant, earthy appearance of early Tensaw Jacket linings. A serialized brass plate on the interior of each Tenth Anniversary Tensaw Jacket will serve as a unique identifier for each jacket as it patinas and develops into a truly distinctive garment based on the owner’s wear over many years to come.

In addition to a unique finish, lining, and serialized plate, the Tenth Anniversary Tensaw Jacket has all of the other wonderful features of our classic Tensaw Jackets. Set-in sleeves provide flattering structure through the shoulders, while gusseted underarms, a bi-swing back, and classic fit through the midsection allow for a full-range of motion. A collar lined with Bedford corduroy provides welcome protection from the cold. The sleeves are lined with a smooth polyester twill that glides over layers with ease. Two chest hand warmer pockets are perfect for cold days, while large front bellow pockets provide ample storage and conceal two additional lower hand warmer pockets. A hidden Napoleon pocket keeps cellphones and other valuables dry and provides easy access without releasing heat.

The front length of the jacket from high point shoulder is 31" for size Medium. For Tall sizes, add 2" to the total length and 1" to the sleeve length.

Made in the U.S.A. of imported materials.

Care Instructions

Your garment's thin waxed coating resists liquids and makes it relatively easy to clean. Waxed cotton should not be machine washed or dry cleaned and should be kept away from hot water and harsh detergents that will remove the wax coating. When spots occur, use a damp rag or soft bristle brush to gently buff out the stained area. If spots are particularly stubborn, use a castile soap and rinse with lukewarm water. Re-wax the area with our reproofing wax and hang to air dry in a warm place.

Generally, rinse dirt and debris by hand with cold water and air dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not machine wash. Do not use artificial heat to dry, expose to open flames, or hang on radiators.
