Description

The Women’s Fairmont Vest marries style and functionality, combining a feminine silhouette with the classic look and durability of waxed cotton. Designed for three seasons, this waxed canvas vest for women has a durable, weatherproof 6 ounce waxed cotton shell that develops a rich patina over time. The Fairmont’s front and rear princess seams create a gently tapered waist that can be further cinched using the adjustable waist tabs. Rear side vents provide additional ease of wear.

A cotton liner inspired by Alabama red clay adds a touch of color to the interior, and a collar lined with Bedford corduroy provides welcome protection from the cold. Two chest hand warmer pockets are useful on brisk days, while large front bellow pockets provide ample storage and conceal two additional lower hand warmer pockets. The Fairmont Vest has two interior pockets, including a zippered pocket for secure storage. Durable antique brass hardware snaps and two-way main zipper.

Care Instructions

Your garment's thin waxed coating resists liquids and makes it relatively easy to clean. Waxed cotton should not be machine washed or dry cleaned and should be kept away from hot water and harsh detergents that will remove the wax coating. When spots occur, use a damp rag or soft bristle brush to gently buff out the stained area. If spots are particularly stubborn, use a castile soap and rinse with lukewarm water. Re-wax the area with our reproofing wax and hang to air dry in a warm place.

Generally, rinse dirt and debris by hand with cold water and air dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not machine wash. Do not use artificial heat to dry, expose to open flames, or hang on radiators.
