Description

The Fowler Vest is the latest addition to our collection of weatherproof waxed cotton outerwear for men. This durable, weatherproof waxed cotton vest is quilted with revolutionary HD Wool, a 100% natural, breathable insulation that helps your body regulate temperature. Built with all the proven durability and technical features that Tom Beckbe waxed outerwear is known for, the Fowler Vest thrives when the thermostat plunges.

Designed with the waterfowl hunter in mind, the Fowler Vest has an 8.25 ounce waxed cotton shelter cloth outer shell that will develop a rich patina with wear. This insulated wool vest features a detachable, insulated hood with adjustable drawstrings and scalloped shape for maximum visibility. Oversized front handwarmer pockets are lined with soft, warm moleskin. Front bellow pockets provide ample storage for shells and other essentials. The interior has three pockets, including one with a zipper closure to keep valuables secure. A liner inspired by Alabama red clay adds a touch of color to the interior, and a collar stand lined with soft corduroy provides welcome protection from the cold. Durable antique brass hardware snaps and two-way main zipper.

The Fowler waxed wool vest has a classic fit, similar to our Kinsman Vest, and a length ideal for wading and frequent up-down movements. For Tall sizes, add 2 inches to the total length. Available in four colors: Rye Brown, Wheat, Camo (Timber), and Camo (Marsh). Touch up dry or worn areas of your Tom Beckbe waxed vest with our reproofing wax.

Care Instructions

Your garment's thin waxed coating resists liquids and makes it relatively easy to clean. Waxed cotton should not be machine washed or dry cleaned and should be kept away from hot water and harsh detergents that will remove the wax coating. When spots occur, use a damp rag or soft bristle brush to gently buff out the stained area. If spots are particularly stubborn, use a castile soap and rinse with lukewarm water. Re-wax the area with our reproofing wax and hang to air dry in a warm place.

Generally, rinse dirt and debris by hand with cold water and air dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not machine wash. Do not use artificial heat to dry, expose to open flames, or hang on radiators.
