Description

Designed with the waterfowler in mind, the Tom Beckbe x Ducks Unlimited Steward Jacket is an 8.25 ounce waxed shelter cloth jacket made in the United States. The Steward Jacket is available exclusively in Wetlands Green, a color designed for its universal application across North America’s four waterfowl flyways and available only as part of Tom Beckbe’s collaboration with Ducks Unlimited. The men’s Steward Jacket has oversized front handwarmer pockets lined with soft, warm moleskin, a corduroy-lined cuff and collar with storm latch, gusseted underarms, and a bi-swing back. The sleeves are lined with a smooth synthetic twill for easy layering. Front bellow pockets offer generous storage for shells and other essentials. The jacket hem is finished with snap adjustments for a tighter fit. Durable antique brass hardware snaps throughout and an antique brass, two-way zipper front closure.

Each Steward Jacket is made in the United States with waxed shelter cloth from the legendary Halley Stevensons of Scotland and lined with a 7.4oz cotton twill dyed to resemble Alabama red clay. Each of these carefully made waxed jackets will develop a rich patina over time unique to its owner and a reflection of his time spent in the field.

Model is wearing size Medium. The front length of the jacket from high point shoulder is 27.5" for size Medium. For Tall sizes, add 2" to the total length and 1" to the sleeve length.

Care Instructions

Your garment's thin waxed coating resists liquids and makes it relatively easy to clean. Waxed cotton should not be machine washed or dry cleaned and should be kept away from hot water and harsh detergents that will remove the wax coating. When spots occur, use a damp rag or soft bristle brush to gently buff out the stained area. If spots are particularly stubborn, use a castile soap and rinse with lukewarm water. Re-wax the area with our reproofing wax and hang to air dry in a warm place.

Generally, rinse dirt and debris by hand with cold water and air dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not machine wash. Do not use artificial heat to dry, expose to open flames, or hang on radiators.
