Designed in collaboration with Faribault Woolen Mill.

A true heirloom garment, our exclusive Northwoods Vest marries our classic waxed shelter cloth with 100% U.S. virgin wool from the legendary Faribault Woolen Mill. Founded in 1865 on the banks of the Cannon River in Minnesota, Faribault's woolens are renowned for their comfort and quality. The original performance fabric, Faribault's wool reacts to changes in body temperature providing warmth from the cold while releasing excess heat and moisture.

The Northwoods Vest's yoke is made of the same durable 8oz waxed shelter cloth as our acclaimed waxed outerwear, creating a layer of weatherproofing across the shoulders and chest that will develop a rich patina over time. A cotton liner dyed with Alabama red clay adds a touch of color to the interior, and a short collar lined with corduroy provides welcome protection from the cold.

This vest is the culmination of years of work by the creative team at Faribault, and years of searching by Tom Beckbe for the perfect wool garment. The result is a vest that will keep you warm for many years to come.

The Northwoods Vest has a classic fit with a midsection slightly trimmer than our Sporting Vest. Rinse clean with cold water and re-wax yoke as needed. Made in U.S.A. Color: Olive with Rye Brown.
